First teaser for Tomorrowland tempts us with possibilities
Lips were sealed for a long while regarding the George Clooney-starring movie Tomorrowland, with bits and pieces of production popping up sporadically, but now we’ve got a teaser trailer to both answer and raise questions. The Walt Disney Pictures film was directed by Brad Bird (The Iron Giant, The Incredibles) and co-written by LOST’s Damon Lindelof, so more mystery than explanation in the teaser should have been expected. That said, the first look is at least enough to keep intrigued film fans salivating until a full-length trailer surfaces.

Lindelof was quoted as saying, “What Hogwarts is to magic, Tomorrowland is to science: They are both easy to find if you are a wizard and very difficult to find if you’re a Muggle,” which makes me that much more intrigued. With Brad Bird holding the reins, this could be a special gem of a movie, and the teaser trailer was mysterious enough to spark some curiosities.
Here’s a plot synopsis to help shed a little light on Tomorrowland:
Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” What they must do there changes the world—and them—forever.
Tomorrowland stars George Clooney, Britt Robertson, Hugh Laurie, Judy Greer, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key, Chris Bauer, and Pierce Gagnon. The movie hits theaters on May 22, 2015.
