The Revenant character posters feature Hardy and DiCaprio
Geek Out! is a quick glimpse of something new and cool without a story’s worth of text to wade through.
The Revenant is set to sweep the Oscars this year, with a troubled-but-hopefully-worth-it shoot and backed by some solid talent, and a few new posters for the film have surfaced lately. The movie focuses on the bear attack, betrayal, survival, and trek back to civilization of trapper Hugh Glass in the 1820s. Leonardo DiCaprio plays Glass, and Tom Hardy plays the man who left him for dead, John Fitzgerald. There’s a lot of buzz and anticipation surrounding the the film, and only time will tell if The Revenant is as awe-inspiring and raw as the first trailer makes it look.
The above poster popped up recently, and I honestly didn’t post it because I wasn’t terribly impressed (grab your pitchforks). I love the color combination, but slapping a dictionary description and a bit of color flare just felt…first year graphic design to me. That said, the two new character posters featuring DiCaprio and Hardy look much better.
