Empire Magazine premiered its newest cover revealing a 3-page fold out of the Star Trek Into Darkness cast and director. While the image is a little dry, the idea behind the fold out cover is kind of cool. Movie news seems to be sneak peaks of sneak peaks nestled into blurry shots of on-set action, so getting your hands on some more cerebral material by way of a movie magazine is always a nice change of pace.
Read more about what you’ll get beyond the cover, and check out some cover close-ups after the jump.
Here we get some stoic looks from John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch), Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), Uhura (Zoe Saldana), Scotty (Simon Pegg), J.J. Abrams, Bones (Karl Urban), Chekov (Anton Yelchin), Dr. Carol Marcus (Alice Eve), and Sulu (John Cho.
Empire assures us the new issue not only takes a look at the upcoming Star Trek Into Darkness, but the pages also delve deep into the mind of director J.J. Abrams regarding some other fun stuff:
“As those cover lines reveal, the edition is jammed with Abrams-related goodies. There’s new Star Wars gems within, a comprehensive oral history of Lost and we’ve spoken to everyone in the JJverse. Brace yourself for something truly special.”
Pick up your hard copy of the magazine, or get the Empire iPad issue, on March 28th.
