Emotional new characters posters for Inside Out surface
Admittedly, I didn’t post the teaser trailer for Pixar’s upcoming emotional roller coaster ride titled Inside Out when it surfaced a few months ago because I was waiting for more. The teaser is actually a quick look at a handful of Pixar films capped off by a brief introduction to the characters rather than a true trailer. That said, now that a handful of fun character posters have popped up, I figured what better time than any to put together a quick introduction post. It’s hard to judge the movie based on what we’ve seen so far, but the new character posters are nice and colorful.
Check out the posters for Anger, Disgust, Fear, Joy, and Sadness in full-size, as well as an ensemble poster and the teaser trailer for the film, after the jump.
Again, not much more than a tease there at the end, so with the recent release of the character posters below let’s hope we’ll see a full-length trailer before long. Director Pete Doctor is responsible for Pixar staples Up and Monsters, Inc., so it’ll be exciting to see what he’s serving up next from his creative plate.
In the meantime, here’s a plot synopsis for Inside Out to fill us in on the details:
From the tepuis of South America to a monster-filled metropolis, Academy Award®-winning director Pete Docter has taken audiences to unique and imaginative places. In 2015, he will take us to the most extraordinary location of all – inside the mind of an 11-year-old named Riley.
Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness.
The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.
Inside Out stars the voice talent of Amy Poehler (Joy), Mindy Kaling (Disgust), Bill Hader (Fear), Lewis Black (Anger), and Phyllis Smith (Sadness) as well as Kaitlyn Dias (Riley). The movie makes its way to theaters on June 19, 2015.
Here are the new characters posters and a few more for the film!
