New Deadpool green band and red band trailers tease R-rated romp
Deadpool, Deadpool, Deadpool! Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth is primed to poke the Marvel bubble with his violent, foul-mouthed pin next February. Two new trailers for the upcoming movie surfaced on Christmas Day, but I unfortunately just got around to posting them. Whether you’re pumped to finally have Deadpool brought to the big screen in a big way or simply want to see what all the fuss is about, check out the green band and red band trailers for a sneak peek.
Watch two new Deadpool trailers, read a plot synopsis for the movie, and check out two new posters after the jump.
Here’s the official green band trailer #2 for Deadpool:
And here’s the red band trailer for those who want a little more edge to their Deadpool:
From the DMX track over the trailer to the attitude and born-to-play-the-character charisma Ryan Reynolds brings to the role, Marvel’s oddball R-rated romp looks like a blast. I’m not as familiar with the property as I’d like to be, as I’m sure is the case with a lot of fair-weather comic book fans, but here’s hoping the movie introduces new viewers to one of Marvel’s most interesting and entertaining characters.
If the trailers weren’t enough, here’s an official plot synopsis for Deadpool:
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds, T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, Ed Skrein, Andre Tricoteaux, and Brianna Hildebrand. You can catch the movie in theaters on February 12, 2016.
And just for kicks, here are two new posters that have popped up for Deadpool over the past few weeks:
