Second Avengers: Infinity War trailer assembles most of the team for action

A brand new full-length Avengers: Infinity War trailer took Marvel fans by surprise the other day, and it’s worth the watch. Can you believe it’s been ten years since Iron Man (2008) began the MCU landslide? Now, we’ve got more than a dozen recognizable characters from a handful of different film worlds coming together for the first time, and it feels monumental, to say the least. Even if you’re only a casual MCU or film fan, you’ve got to appreciate the accomplishment of a decade’s worth of well-planned movie making. If only the DC camp hadn’t rushed into everything like they did.

Anyway, this post is about the Avengers and their new movie trailer. You’ll want to watch it a few times to really digest the scope of who’s on screen at any given time. Thor and Groot? Captain America and T’Challa? Star-Lord sassing Iron Man? There’s enough to get your blood pumping if you live for Marvel, so dig in and enjoy.

Given that Infinity War is directed by the Russo brothers, and also given that it’s the Russos who have contributed arguably the two most grounded and gritty MCU movies (Captain America: Winter Soldier and Civil War), it’s hard not to imagine Infinity War is going to be a rousing success. People are convinced major characters will die, theories abound regarding where Thanos will find all of the Infinity Stones, and there’s just so much potential here for high stakes blockbuster entertainment at its best.

I’m not one to take the deep dive into trailers and pick them apart frame by frame (you can find plenty of articles and videos doing just that for this trailer already), but it’s definitely worth watching this one a few times if you can’t get enough of what the MCU is doing these days.
