Dane DeHaan tries to survive Life After Beth in this first intriguing trailer
The trailer for the zombie-but-not-zombie-movie Life After Beth starring Dane DeHaan and Aubrey Plaza slid in under the radar a little while back, but it’s intriguing enough to warrant a watch. The trailer makes the movie feel like a humor-laced look at loving the undead, and Life After Beth could be the strange sequel to Shaun of the Dead we didn’t really ask for yet might have speculated about with friends after a few drinks. What would it be like to live with a friend-turned-zombie?
Find out by watching the quirky trailer for Life After Beth after the jump.
As far as off-beat zombie films go, and many attempts are aims and misses, this one looks like it could be enjoyable. The cast alone is worth digesting, and if Life After Beth gives us a little bit of Aubrey Plaza munching down on a few unfortunate victims while making a quip or two it might be worth a chuckle.
Here’s a short plot synopsis for the film:
Zach is devastated after his girlfriend, Beth, unexpectedly dies. When she suddenly rises from the dead, he sees it as a second chance and decides to do and say every thing he wishes he had while she was still alive.
Life After Beth stars Dane DeHaan, Aubrey Plaza, Anna Kendrick, John C. Reilly, Matthew Gray Gubler, Alia Shawkat, Cheryl Hines, Molly Shannon, and Paul Reiser. The movie will hit DirectTV first (on July 17th) and then get a limited theatrical release on August 15, 2014.
