The park is open in the first trailer for Jurassic World
A teaser for this week’s Jurassic World trailer premiere popped up two days ago, and the internet collectively went crazy over a 20-second clip. While the tease wasn’t worth a website post (here it is if you haven’t seen it), the short video promised a full-length trailer release on Thanksgiving. Looks like Universal Pictures couldn’t wait to pull the trigger, because the trailer in all its suspense-filled goodness surprisingly surfaced today! There’s a lot of snippets and hints at what to expect, like a genetically-modified super dino and Chris Pratt riding a motorcycle alongside trained raptors, so it’s worth a few watches if you’re looking forward to seeing where the franchise has turned in the newest installment.

What do you think? Opening up the park and then fiddling with dino DNA in new ways was bound to go wrong at some point, and the trailer hints at a brand new baddie stalking around a brand new park. Unfortunately, no official synopsis has been released for the film yet, but that genetically modified hybrid that we catch glimpses of is something called a D-rex. Rumor has it that the creature will have camouflage capabilities (a choice that was defended by director Colin Trevorrow as an idea that was in the original books), and the movie appears to center around its creation and escape. Could be a wild ride!
Jurassic World star Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Judy Greer, Omar Sy, Jake Johnson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Nick Robinson, Katie McGrath, and BD Wong. The park opens, and the film hits theaters, on June 12, 2015.
Just for fun, here’s another look at the Comic Con poster that popped up for the film a few months back:
