Wick’s back in the first John Wick: Chapter 2 teaser trailer
Various quotations and excited sound offs have made the rounds regarding the first John Wick: Chapter 2 teaser trailer. He’s back. Don’t kill the dog this time. With a pencil. The Boogeyman. Oh. They’ve all been used to express fans’ anticipation for the return of Keanu Reeves as John Wick for the sequel to 2014’s unexpected badass assassin introduction. This time around, Wick is helping some old friends and he’s most certainly back in the action, which is all you really need to know. If you loved the first film, you’ll enjoy the first teaser trailer for the second movie. If you couldn’t quite jump on the John Wick bandwagon, I can’t say there’s much more here to win you over.
You know if you’re already sold on John Wick: Chapter 2, so give the trailer a watch, read the plot synopsis, and check out a couple posters for the movie after the jump.
Not bad, eh? Again, when it comes to John Wick, for some reason all people need to hear is Keanu Reeves is back kicking ass and taking names. If the footage of Reeves training for the sequel are any indication, we’re in for more tight fight choreography and fast-paced bullet-to-the-face encounters. John Wick is quickly becoming Keanu’s most appreciated character (it’s hard to top Neo from the Matrix trilogy), and if the sequel does well we’ll undoubtedly get a third movie to round out a John Wick trilogy. The cast of Chapter 2 is strong, and the trailer is a sufficient tease for fans of the franchise, so here’s hoping this is more than a forced follow-up.
Here’s the brief official plot synopsis for John Wick: Chapter 2 to shed a little light on the premise:
