Trailers for Jane Got a Gun see Natalie Portman in trouble
The Natalie Portman-starring Jane Got a Gun took a long while to finally make its way to some kind of finished product. A few trailers have since been released previewing the once-troubled movie, and if anything it looks like a solid bad vs. good guy dusty western starring Natalie Portman, Joel Edgerton, and Ewan McGregor.

And here’s the official U.S. trailer that was just recently released, which is identical to the second international trailer that popped up over a month ago:
People are saying Natalie Portman looks a bit too…pretty…and seems out of place here, and I’d have to agree. Everyone on display looks dirt-covered and well-worn, believably having lived on the frontier for their lives, except Portman. That said, she did a decent job holding her own in Cold Mountain in her bit part, so it’ll be interesting to see what she brings to Jane Got a Gun. Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing Ewan McGregor twist that mustache and put on a show as the villain, something he doesn’t do very often.
I mentioned above that this one’s seen some troubles, so it’s just good to see the movie make its way to the big screen. From losing a director on Day 1 and Jude Law stepping away, to Joel Edgerton shifting from the villain to the good guy role (originally intended for Law), to Bradley Cooper briefly being attached and finally McGregor stepping in, the movie’s early production seemed like a car wreck film media couldn’t look away from. So, here’s hoping it was worth the trouble.
