Katniss and Peeta are back for the 75th Hunger Games, and this time around things seem a lot more serious. The first full-length trailer for the The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has surfaced, and a few more familiar faces have been added to the mix even we only catch glimpses of a few of them here.
Check out the trailer, and get your fill of Hunger Games marketing material before the film makes it to theaters, after the jump!
Joining the original cast of Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrleson, Stanley Tucci, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, and Donald Sutherland are Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Toby Jones, Jena Malone (Saved!, Donnie Darko), Sam Claflin (Snowhite and the Hunstman), and Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Blue Mountain State). With a cast of this caliber we can only hope the sequel to the first film will be a little more enjoyable.
Here’s an official synopsis for the film:
THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
If you can’t get enough Hunger Games before Catching Fire hits theaters be sure to check out the first teaser trailer and Capitol Couture character posters, and the recently released Quarter Quell contender posters.
