Frozen meets The Thing in this bloody claymation parody
I knew this claymation parody of Disney’s Frozen crossed with John Carpenter’s movie The Thing looked familiar. I was in the process of getting everything ready for this post when I thought, “Hey, that older Pingu/The Thing crossover would be a great add-on” only to discover that claymation artist Lee Hardcastle was responsible for both (and a whole lot more). Hardcastle seems to enjoy taking cute and innocent things and tearing them apart in glorious claymation fashion, so if you don’t want to taint your Frozen memories maybe turn away.
If the idea of a Frozen/The Thing crossover as well as a few more claymation The Thing parodies sounds right up your alley, check out the videos after the jump.
Pretty crazy stuff, right? Who would have guessed it was her. If you liked that, definitely check out Lee Hardcastle’s YouTube page (linked above) for more claymation craziness.
As promised, here’s another video parody of The Thing from Hardcastle. This one originally used the British-Swiss claymation personality Pingu, but it was quickly banned/removed due to copyright issues. Hardcastle then put together an almost-identical version with his own “Claycat” personality, and I’ll post that below. Here’s a copy of the original Pingu version that I found:
And here’s the updated Claycat version. Here’s what Hardcastle had to say:
I originally made this video under the title “Pingu’s THE THING” but I was forced to take it down by Hit Entertainment who own the Pingu brand. So I have remade it because it was the most amazing response I have had from a video with a million hits in 2 weeks and even made national news papers.
