Alien: Isolation returns the canon to its survival horror origins
I didn’t even know this game existed, but after seeing the new gameplay footage and commentary for Alien: Isolation the game has jumped to the top of my must-play/own list of awesomeness. Admittedly, the new adventure feels familiar to the popular Amnesia games, and in the case of Xenomorph canon that could be a very good thing. SEGA looks to be revitalizing a dying franchise (both in movies and video games) – going back to a single Alien, using Ellen Ripley’s daughter as a protagonist, and employing some serious survival horror atmosphere building could make for an excellent gaming experience.
Watch over seven minutes of gameplay footage and commentary, plus another six minutes of need-to-know info, for Alien: Isolation after the jump!
