Sin City: A Dame to Kill For trailer brings back the black & white
Robert Rodriguez and Frank Millar made a big splash with their first Sin City film, and they’re aiming to do so again with the follow-up Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. The first trailer for the movie debuted today, and, aside from the return of an attractive black and white, some new faces make it look like a really good time. Not much of the plot is revealed, but the appeal of the first film wasn’t really the plot now was it?

I’m looking forward to this one, and seeing some familiar faces embodying new characters and picking up the torch where old characters left off is that much more enticing. Plus, there’s nothing quite like Rodriguez’s black and white mixed with some shockingly effective color, so that paired with a 3D viewing should be quite the experience.
Here’s a plot synopsis for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For:
In Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Dwight is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord, and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to “The Big Fat Kill” (featured in the film Frank Miller’s Sin City) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face.
The film boasts an impressive cast of Josh Brolin, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Powers Boothe, Jessica Alba, Juno Temple, Michael Madsen, Rosario Dawson, Jamie King, Ray Liotta, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, and Lady Gaga. It’s scheduled to hit theaters August 22, 2014.
